DOHA: The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), in cooperation with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), concluded a two-day training course on air traffic flow management, in preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar, with the participation of a delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran.

During the training course, in which ICAO identified its axes and action plan, the capabilities of the navigation system were introduced through the use of simulation systems, in addition to sharing daily air traffic forecasts during the World Cup period with the concerned countries.

In March, the General Civil Aviation Authority organized a similar course, with the participation of several countries, to effectively contribute to managing the flow of air traffic between the areas of the countries in the region to ensure the flow and safety of aircraft movement during the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar.

This is in addition to introducing the advantages of the navigational systems applied by the General Civil Aviation Authority in Qatar, so that the countries of the region can provide effective and safe services commensurate with the expected increase in air traffic during the tournament period, in accordance with the agreed regional plan.
