Syria produces wheat in several regions in the country but imports it, too. Flour is a very common ingredient in local and Arab cuisine. Brazil exports a series of foodstuffs to Syria, including coffee and sugar, but wheat has not been exported in the last couple of years. Out of the Arab countries, Saudia Arabia is a market that imports wheat from Brazil.
