German companies hiring indicator declines in Dec.


(MENAFN) According to the Munich-based Ifo Institute for Economic Research, German firms which are hiring staffs declined this month, in comparison with November.

The Ifo employment indicator decreased to 102.9 points in December, falling from 103.9 points the previous month.

It as well stated in a declaration "Due to the current wave of the coronavirus, three industries have announced layoffs: hospitality, events, and tourism ... In retail, hiring has come to an almost complete stop for now."

The Munich-based Ifo Institute for Economic Research affirmed the employment indicator increased again in industrial.
