(MENAFN- The Conversation) Postdoctoral research fellow, The University of Queensland Profile Articles Activity

My background is in ecology, biogeography and landscape scale conservation. I am interested in understanding how biological and anthropic factors affect biodiversity patterns. I hold a master's degree in evolutionary ecology from Los Andes University, Colombia and a PhD from The University of Queensland. Through my research career, I have used ecological and biogeographic information to answer diverse research questions and conservation problems. From understanding the ecology and extinction risk of species at local and national scales, to assessing the impact of human pressure in protected areas at national and global scales. Another research topic I am interested in is land cover change; particularly understanding the drivers of forest loss.
