New Delhi, Feb 4 (KNN) Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) Ludhiana in collaboration with Ministry of MSME, MSME Development Institute, Ludhiana organized a Webinar on 'MSME Schemes, Export Opportunity for MSME and Opportunities in Atamnirbhar Bharat on 03.02.2021 (Wednesday).

Devendra Kumar Singh, IAS, Additional Secretary and Development Commissioner (MSME), Ministry of MSME was the chief guest of the webinar.

AS & DC, Ministry of MSME advised that Indian MSMEs have to adopt the advanced technology to compete in the global market. He also informed that testing facilities for MSMEs are available in testing centres and tool rooms. If any sector needs extra testing facilities may inform and the ministry will arrange the same.

During the webinar MSMEs discussed various issues regarding merchandise Trading, PLI schemes and delayed payment. They requested government to remove restrictions on merchandise trading by RBI.

Only large companies get the benefits of the PLI scheme, they requested that there should be some mechanism for MSMEs to avail benefits of the scheme.

They suggested that the delayed payment act is not applicable to the private sector and there should be some mechanism to involve the private sector.
