Iran's budget bill for the new Iranian year (starts March 21, 2021)is prepared based on the country's situation, and changing its structure by the parliament would be unacceptable, said the Iranian President.

"The budget bill is the result of detailed studies of public experts on the country's economic requirement and the country's regulations and conditions," said Hassan Rouhani, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"The government would always welcome MP's suggestions but changing the budget structure is not acceptable. It's not the time for changing basic rules of the budget bill and it could lead to confusion of businessmen, on the other hand, budget decisions should not create pressures on people's livelihood and purchasing power of the low-income class," he said.

The parliament has disagreed with the government budget prediction and tax revenues saying the figures are different from realities while it has increased the official foreign currency rate from 42,000 rials to 175,000 rials per USD.

The Iranian president has also indicated the importance of the stock exchange to display the real commodity price during the recent Government's Economic Coordination Headquarters meeting.

"The stock exchange is a ground for transparent trade and the government has always been a supporter of the stock market and the first step in boosting the market is to follow the regulation. The stock exchange policies should be done via the Securities and Exchange High Council and avoid unprofessional interference," he noted.

"The stock market could unveil the real price of products. The government's basic policy is that the commodity pricing would be done based on supply and demand mechanism and market competitive regulations would be profitable for the market, producer and consumer," Rouhani added.

"The government is trying to accelerate activities and reduce limitations and trust companies with good experience that always led to flourishing domestic and foreign markets and have created the ground for increasing trade in mercantile exchange," he said.
