UAE, Brazil sign strategic cooperation agreements during Bolsonaro visit


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ABU DHABI, Oct 27 (KUNA) -- The United Arab Emirates and Brazil signed several strategic cooperation agreements as Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan met the visiting President Jair Bolsonaro in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.
Both nations signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic partnership in relation to defence product development, production and commercialization and set up a joint fund for the expansion of defence production capacity.
They also struck partnerships on artificial intelligence and environmental matters, including a MoU on biodiversity conservation.
On trade relations, they signed a MoU on supporting exports and re-exports between the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and Brazil alongside mutual assistance on customs matters and the exchange and mutual protection of classified information and material.
The agreements were signed by ministers from both sides in the presence of the two senior officials. (end)
