(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR: Once again, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa elementary and secondary education department cancelled the written tests for 4,500 teachers posts over irregularities and directed National Testing Service (NTS) to conduct an investigation and identify responsible persons.
A notification issued by the KP education department read, 'All respected stakeholders (Candidates, DEOs etc;): I am directed to inform that today's (22/9/2019) test of NTS, conducted for the recruitment of various teaching cadre posts, has been cancelled across the province. The new schedule will be shared soon.' This notification was issued by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Director Education on Sunday.
Tests conducted for vacant posts of teachers in KP have been cancelled for 10th time today. The candidates said that that NTS, FTS and ETEA fully failed to conduct tests. Advisor Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ziaullah Khan Bangash also said the test has been cancelled the NTS has been ordered to take action against responsible persons.
Tests were held on Sunday, September 22, 2019, across the province for the recruitment of teachers for schools across the province. Ziaullah said the action has been taken after receiving complaints that the test papers were leaked before the test. The adviser added that the government had embarked on the policy of merit and transparency in the recruitment of teachers. The adviser added the NTS officials have been contacted and ordered them to identify the responsible. 'Strict action will be taken against those responsible, no compromise on merit,' claimed Ziaullah Bangash.
Just five days back, a test conducted by the Islamabad-based Fair Testing Service had in 13 districts of the province with around 300,000 candidates have also been cancelled and the government directed FTS to rearranged the test within 15 days.
A senior official in the education department told Dawn that the FTS had conducted those tests in Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, Mardan, Swabi, Swat, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Lakki Marwat and Tank districts.
