Jordan- JMD forecasts hot weather over next two days


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Aug. 24 (Petra) -- A slight drop in temperatures is expected on Saturday, as relatively hot weather conditions prevail across the Kingdom, with high-altitude clouds, said the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
Mercury levels for today are expected to hover between 35 and 23 degrees Celsius in Amman, 33 - 21 in the northern cities, and 33 - 19 in the southern areas.
The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs jumping to 40 degrees and lows sliding to 30 degrees Celsius, the JMD said in its daily weather report.
The next two days will bring in similar hot temperatures in most parts of Jordan, with moderate to active northwesterly winds, it added.
