Turkish forces confiscate more than 100 kg of heroin in Van


(MENAFN) On Friday, Turkish polices confiscated more than 111.8 kilograms (246 pounds) of heroin in the eastern Van province.

Narcotics officers conducted a raid against unlawful drug trafficking in the Ipekyolu district, local police affirmed in a statement.

During the search, with the assistance of a sniffer dog, police managed to confiscate heroin packed in 220 bundles inside three sacks in a vehicle.

The operation also resulted in the detention of the driver, who was identified by the initials K.A.
