4 percent boost in Palestine's IIP


(MENAFN) Palestine registered a 4 percent jump in its International investment Position (IIP) to account for USD1.724 million from January to March 2019.

These figures indicate that the Palestinian economy's investments outside the country exceed those in the country from overseas, as revealed the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) and the Palestine Monetary Authority (PMA).

Meanwhile, the total stocks of External Assets for Palestinian Economy contributed with USD6.841 million while the Foreign Direct Investment Abroad amounted for 5 percent and the Portfolio Investments overseas hit 20 percent.

Other Foreign Investments Abroad, mostly currency and deposits, also stood at 66 percent while Reserve Assets accounted for 9 percent.
