Kuwaiti, Iraqi ministerial meeting on sidelines of HH Amir's visit to Iraq


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA))  BAGHDAD, June 19 (KUNA) -- A number of Kuwaiti ministers on Wednesday met with their Iraqi counterparts on sidelines of the official visit by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to Iraq.
During the meeting held at the government palace in Baghdad, the ministers discussed a number of bilateral issues and enhancing cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, Finance Minister Dr. Nayef Falah Al-Hajraf, Minister of Trade and Industry and Minister of State for Services Khalid Nasser Al-Rodan, Minister of Oil, Electricity and Water, Dr. Khalid Ali Al-Fadhel.
The Iraqi side was represented by Culture Minister Abdul Amir Al-Hamdani, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers Hamid Al-Ghazi, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Qusay Al-Suhail, Chairman of the Investment Authority Sami Al-Araji, Finance Minister Fuad Hussein and Minister of Electricity Loay Al-Khatib and Iraqi Ambassador to Kuwait Ali al-Hashemi.
His Highness the Amir's visit is his second to Baghdad after his first visit in March 2012 to participate in an Arab summit.
His visit comes one month after Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi's first visit to Kuwait.(end) bmj.kns.sad.nhq
