(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Seeb spikers have been in scintillating form this season and they underscored their dominance in domestic competitions with their second trophy in a span of less than a week.
Following its title win in the 2018-19 Oman Volleyball Association (OVA) First Division League last week, Seeb had to stave off a determined challenge from Al Kamil Wal Wafi in the summit clash of the OVA
Ministry's Shield Championship at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex (SQSC) on Tuesday.
And it was double delight for Seeb as it won the title 26-28, 25-15, 34-32, 25-18 in a thrilling final.
Earlier in the OVA league final, Seeb defeated Al Salam. The latter settled for a bronze on Tuesday after defeating Sohar 25-21, 24-26, 25-22, 25-22 in a third match playoff.
Salam had won three Ministry's Shield titles in a row from 2016-18 while Seeb was last year's bronze medallist.

Witnessing the double delight was H H Sayyid Melek bin Shihab al Said, the club's board member.
Speaking to Muscat Daily, Yousuf al Wahaibi, Seeb vice-president, said, 'It is a great win and to seal a grand double in the season is a testimony to our team's excellent performance.'
The Ministry's Shield was instituted by the OVA in 2012 and the first three editions were won by Saham. Sohar broke the stranglehold of Saham in 2015 before Salam clinched a hat-trick. It was maiden title for Seeb in the tournament.

(No 4): Miguel (Seeb), Salah al Jaradi (Al Salam), best spiker (No 2): Ahmed al Shizawi, most valuable player: Saud al Mamari (Al Kamil Wal Wafi).
