The presidents held a meeting within the annual Munich Security Conference, the press service of the head of state reported.
'Poroshenko thanked the president of Montenegro for his consistent resolute support for the EU sanctions policy against the Russian Federation in connection with the ongoing aggression and violation of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine,' the report says.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral relations, European cooperation and cooperation in international organizations.
The presidents agreed on the need for the intensification of bilateral cooperation and discussed promising areas of cooperation, in particular the study of the European integration experience of Montenegro, including the adaptation of national legislation to the EU standards.
