Moroccans meet WB, IMF delegation


(MENAFN) Top Moroccan officials held talks with a World Bank Group (WBG) and International Monetary Fund (IMF) delegation during a two-day trip.

The purpose behind the visit is to make arrangements for the annual meetings Morocco is set to host in October 2021.

Head of the Moroccan government Saadeddine El Othmani engaged in a meeting with the delegation with Moroccan Finance Minister Mohamed Benchaaboun.

WB Bank Vice President Yvonne Tsikata stated: "we have had very productive conversations with our counterparts, and we are impressed with the kingdom's plans to highlight the vibrant city of Marrakech, Morocco's deep history, and the country's bright future."

IMF Secretary Lin Jianhai also affirmed that "working together over the next three years, our shared goal is to bring the world to Morocco and the region, and bring Morocco and the region to the world."
