Pakistan- KP government to conduct 8th grade detention exams from next year


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR, 26 May: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government after conducting detention exams of fifth grade has now announced to conducted detention exams for eighth grade and released a schedule for the new academic year.

According to media reports, the exams will be conducted in February next year, while final decision in this regard will be taken by the concerned education boards. The detention exams have been termed mandatory for the government as well as private schools. The exams will be conducted in eight compulsory subjects under the 2006 curriculum. Each paper will carry 100 marks.

Earlier, the government conducted detention exams of fifth grade, but many known educational institutions refused to conduct those exams. The KP government had issued show cause notices to those schools, but they did not file reply.

The private educational institutions will also launch their protest against Private Schools Regulatory Authority in front of the provincial assembly building from today (Friday).
