Woman commits suicide after her spouse takes another wife in India


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY March 23: The Jahra police have arrested a 29-year-old citizen who was wanted by law in connection with four financial frauds worth KD 6176000. The same police have also arrested four other Kuwaitis who were wanted by law for failing to pay debts varying between KD 4000 and KD 10000. All those arrested have been referred to the concerned authorities. According to security sources all the arrests were made at security checkpoints in different areas of the Capital governorate.

Citizen cheated of KD 13000: Police are looking for an unidentified Kuwaiti citizen for swindling a compatriot to the tune of KD 13000 reports Al-Anba daily. It has been reported the money lured the victim to join his business and escaped with the money. A case of betrayal of trust has been filed with the Sabahiya Police Station.

Indian woman ends life: An Indian woman committed suicide inside her residence in Salmiya when she found out that her husband to whom she had been sending her salary to build a marital home married another woman and he was spending her salary on the second wife. Rescue officers and paramedics rushed to the woman's apartment immediately after the Operations Room at the Interior Ministry received information on the incident. Upon arrival at the scene the rescuers discovered the woman used a piece of cloth to hang herself from the room ceiling but she was already dead. Preliminary investigation revealed the woman received a phone call from home informing her of the action taken by her husband. Her remains were referred to Forensics.

2 held over 11 car thefts: Jahra securitymen arrested two citizens and two Bedouns for involvement in 11 car thefts. Director of Jahra Investigation Directorate Colonel Omar Al- Rasheed received information about the suspects who have been stealing vehicles whose parts they sold to various scrap shops. A security team put the suspects under surveillance and arrested them red-handed in Saad Al-Abdullah. The suspects were referred to the concerned security department for legal action.

'Royal' humiliates police: Police have referred a member of the ruling family to the concerned authorities for humiliating a traffic policeman on duty reports Al-Rai daily. A security source said the complainant was on duty in Dhahiyat Abdullah Al-Salem and ordered the motorist driving a luxury car to show his driving license but the suspect not only refused but abused the policeman. After a police patrol rushed to the location the motorist showed his license.

3 Iraqis held at border: The Kuwait Naval Force has arrested three Iraqis for attempting to infiltrate into the country reports Al- Shahed daily. The daily said the suspects were spotted by the radar surveillance and control system belonging to the General Administration of Coast Guard approaching Kuwait's territorial waters and informed the Navy which reacted very quickly and used speed boats to nab the suspects The Iraqis aboard the boat were arrested and the Navy has informed its Iraqi counterpart.

Expired food items seized: Customs officers at the Doha Port recently foiled an attempt by unidentified persons to smuggle into the country expired foodstuffs including saffron and spices and other unlicensed materials by hiding the contraband among animal fodder reports Al-Shahed daily.
