(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) EU High Representative Catherine Ashton Monday said that she is trying to see whether an agreement can be reached on Iran's nuclear deal by the deadline of 24 November.
"I am not confident yet that we will reach it. There is lot of work to do. But I aspire that we will be successful," she told a press conference at the end of a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg this evening.
Ashton, who will step down as the EU foreign policy chief on 31 October said, she has agreed to continue work on the international talks on Iran's nuclear programme in November.
Iran and the P5+1 group are negotiating a comprehensive agreement that will assure the West of the peaceful nature of the Iranian nuclear program in return of easing of sanctions on the Islamic Republic.
