Msakni recovering after operation

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Al Duhail captain Youssef Msakni is recuperating well following a cruciate ligament surgery he had in Pennsylvania, US. He is expected to return to Doha in a few days' time and start the next phase of recuperation under the supervision of team doctor Faisal al-Muadib.
Msakni sustained the injury during their QNB Stars League Week 22 match against Al Sailiya. He is expected to be back in action after six to seven months.
The Tunisian had missed their matches in the Qatar Cup, which they won by defeating Al Sadd 2-1 in the final.
Msakni was a key contributor to Al Duhail's triumph in this season's QNB Stars League. The attacking midfielder emerged as the second-best scorer in the tournament with 25 goals, one less than teammate Youssef El Arabi, and provided many assists.
He has been named in the final selection of players for the Qatar Football Association's Best Player Award along with teammate Nam Tae-Hee and Al Sadd's Spanish star Xavi Hernandez.
