WASHINGTON, Dec 11 (KUNA) -- U.S. President-elect Donald trump has appointed businessman Tom Barrack as new ambassador to Turkiye.
"I am pleased to announce that Tom Barrack will serve as our next Ambassador to Turkey. For three decades, Tom successfully managed a global private equity firm," Trump said in a statement late Tuesday.
He is a well respected and experienced voice of reason to a wide range of thought leaders in both Political and business circles, he added.
U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's administration is set to take over within a few week's time. (end)
