Jordan Condemns Israeli Attack On Gaza's School

(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned on Wednesday Israel's "systematic" and ongoing targeting of civilians and shelters of displaced Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, the latest being the targeting of Al Awda School in the Abasan area of Khan Younis, which resulted in the death of more than 50 people and the injury of dozens.

The ministry's spokesperson Sufian Qudah affirmed the Kingdom's "condemnation and absolute rejection of Israel's ongoing war crimes and genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, which represent a blatant violation of international law, and all human and moral values".

Qudah renewed his call to the international community, especially the Security Council, to take immediate and firm steps to stop Israeli crimes and provide protection for Palestinian civilians.

He explained that the absence of any form of accountability and the continuous impunity encourages Israel to continue its violations and increase the suffering of the Palestinian people.

In the past four days, deadly strikes have hit four schools used as shelters, sparking international outrage.

Israel's military offensive has killed at least 38,243 people in Gaza, mostly civilians, according to figures released on Tuesday by the Hamas-run territory's health ministry.
