Karnataka Sangha Qatar Marks Yoga Day

Doha, Qatar: Karnataka Sangha Qatar recently marked the 10th International Yoga Day with a grand celebration at the Hamilton School premises in Doha. The event commenced with an opening note by the treasurer, Pradeep, who set the tone and introduced and invited the general secretary, Kumar Swamy, to conduct the proceedings.

President Ravi Shetty welcomed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of yoga for achieving a harmonious and blissful life. He quoted Swami Vivekananda to highlight the benefits of consistent yoga practice.

The inauguration was marked by the traditional lighting of the lamp, by the president, advisory committee members, elders, and presidents of other Karnataka-based associations.

Under the guidance of former MC member and yoga trainer Kishore, over 100 members including kids participated in the yoga session. Shweta Darokar and her team showcased modern yoga techniques, adding a contemporary touch to the celebration.

As a token of appreciation, President Ravi Shetty presented mementos to Kishore, Shweta and her team, and Anthony of Astrokes Sports.
