We have performedthe program better than in training, and as a member of the women'sgroup, a gold medalist of the 29th Azerbaijan Championship and BakuChampionship in Acrobatic Gymnastics among pre-juniors, SofiyaBabayeva told reporters, Trend reports.
The women's group, along with her, included Diana Mammadova andFiruza Gasimzade.
“We were first concerned, but we were able to regulate ouremotions and achieve a positive outcome. We are pleased that we metour objective. We are training hard this season because we haveinternational contests coming up. We hope that this victory is thebeginning of our success in the current season,” Babayevaadded.
Competitions for the 29th Azerbaijan Championship and BakuChampionship in Acrobatic Gymnastics have been held at the HeydarAliyev Sports and Concert Complex in Baku on April 25–26.
The participants of the competitions were athletes from theSpecialized Children's and Youth Olympic Reserve School ofGymnastics, Ojaq Sports Club, Neftchi Sports Club, and SpecializedChildren's and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve No. 13.
