We Plan To Lead At Upcoming Acrobatic Gymnastics World Cups - Member Of Azerbaijani National Team


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. We plan to lead atthe upcoming stages of the Acrobatic Gymnastics World Cup, memberof the Azerbaijan national acrobatic gymnastics team, athlete MuradRafiyev told reporters, Trend reports.

He made the remark on the sidelines of the 29th Azerbaijan andBaku Championships in Acrobatic Gymnastics.

Rafiyev, together with Daniel Abbasov, is performing as part ofa men's pair.

“At the current moment of the competitions, we have successfullydemonstrated a balance exercise; then we'll have to perform tempoand mixed exercises. Very soon, we'll participate in three stagesof the World Cup.

We are actively preparing, making every effort to achieve a goodresult, so the ongoing Azerbaijan Championship and the BakuChampionship are also important for us in terms of preparation. Weplan to take first place at the World Cups.

It will not be so easy; we have serious competitors-gymnastsfrom Kazakhstan, the UK, and Portugal-but we'll do our best,” theathlete emphasized.

Competitions for the 29th Azerbaijan and Baku Championships inAcrobatic Gymnastics are being held at the Heydar Aliyev Sports andConcert Complex in Baku on April 25–26.

The participants of the competitions are athletes from theSpecialized Children's and Youth Olympic Reserve School ofGymnastics, Ojaq Sports Club, Neftchi Sports Club, and SpecializedChildren's and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve No. 13.
