Hungary Eyes To Take Part In Reconstruction, Restoration Of Azerbaijan's Karabakh (UPDATE)


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. Hungary isdeveloping a plan for its participation in the reconstruction andrestoration of Azerbaijan's Karabakh, Hungarian Minister of ForeignAffairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó said during the 10th session ofthe Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation between thegovernments of Azerbaijan and Hungary, Trend reports.

He emphasized that Azerbaijan and Hungary are friends andstrategic partners, while relations between them are based onvalues rather than expectations.

“There are growth rates of trade turnover between our countries to the corresponding period of 2023, the trade turnover inJanuary-February 2024 increased by 40.49 percent,” Szijjártónoted.

Speaking about the plan for participation in the reconstructionand restoration of Karabakh, he added that this plan will becompleted by November this year and the industries in whichHungarian companies can participate will be identified.

To note, Baku hosted the 10th session of the Joint Commission onEconomic Cooperation between the governments of Azerbaijan andHungary.

The one-on-one meeting was attended by a delegation headed byHungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó anda delegation headed by Azerbaijani Minister of Labor and SocialProtection Sahil Babayev. The parties discussed the present statusof relations between the two nations and the topics slated for themeeting agenda.
