Azerbaijani Army Proves Mighty Enough To Secure Karabakh - CSTO's Secgen


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 22. Azerbaijan has itsforces to ensure security in Karabakh, Secretary General of theCollective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) ImangaliTasmagambetov told TASS, Trend reports.

"This is the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which hasits forces to ensure security, and this issue is not being resolvedunilaterally," he noted, commenting on the withdrawal of theRussian peacekeeping contingent from Karabakh.

According to the CSTO Secretary General, stability in the regiondepends to a greater extent on the prospects of signing a peacetreaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Lately, footage depicting the process of withdrawing militaryequipment belonging to the Russian peacekeeping contingent fromAzerbaijan has appeared on social networks. Later, Russianpresidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed the withdrawal ofthe Russian peacekeeping contingent from Karabakh.
