As a result of thePatriotic War and the anti-terror operation, we now have fullpossession of our water resources, said President of AzerbaijanIlham Aliyev as he addressed a groundbreaking ceremony for thereconstruction of the Shirvan irrigation canal in the Hajigabuldistrict.
“Armenia used to occupy not only our lands, but also our waterresources. The water resources available in Karabakh and EasternZangezur constitute 25 percent of our total. The main feature ofthese water resources, their positive side, is that they aregenerated thanks to internal sources,” noted the AzerbaijaniPresident, adding that this is of particular importance because thewater resources of Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur are internalsources.
