Canadian Food Inspection Agency Recalls Monster Energy Drinks MNST The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a national recall of Monster (MNST) branded energy drinks over a bilingual labelling issue.
The recall affects all flavours of the energy drink that contain caffeine and do not have both English and French labelling.
The federal agency based in Ottawa says the products are being recalled because they are non-compliant with both their caffeine content and labelling requirements, as well as with Canada's language laws that require English and French labels.
The CFIA is advising Canadians not to consume, serve, or distribute the recalled Monster beverage products.
The agency adds that there have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of Monster products in Canada.
The stock of Monster Beverage Corp. has risen 27% over the last 12 months to trade at $58.18 U.S. per share.
