Second Edition Of Katara Prize For Arabic Poetry Launched

Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) announced on Wednesday the launch of the second edition of the Katara Prize for Arabic Poetry (Mothers of the Believers), which its theme is Aisha bint Abi Bakar Al Siddiq.

Participation in the Katara Prize for Arabic Poetry is open to all from around the world as of the first day of Ramadan and the last day to receive entries is the 30th of Ramadan this year. Participant's CV, a personal photo, a passport copy, and the text of the poem in the form (Word) and (PDF) without putting the name of the participant or the country on it should be sent to the e-mail: [email protected]

The total value of the Katara Prize for Arabic Poetry, 'Mothers of the Believers' is about QR120,000 distributed over three categories - the first prize is QR60,000, the second prize is QR40,000, and the third prize is QR20,000.

Katara Prize for Arabic Poetry (Mothers of the Believers) is one of the competitions organized by Katara such as the annual Holy Quran memorization and recitation competition for children, and Katara Prize for Prophet's Poet, among others.
