Tehran, Beijing seek to expand two-sided financial ties


(MENAFN) The two parties studied and discussed the possibilities and capabilities for the strengthening of economic connections between the two nations during an Iran-China business forum held in Beijing.

On the eve of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's visit to China, the event was attended by representatives of the two nations' governments and business sectors.

Speaking at the business forum, Iranian Industry, Mining and Trade Minister Reza Fatemi-Amin emphasized that Iran has had a stronger approach in the area of economy over the past year, adding: "In terms of strengthening relations with China, it can be done by connecting the businesses of the two countries, especially in third countries. The political will in Iran to develop relations with other countries is strong”.

According to Alireza Peyman-Pak, the head of Iran's Trade Promotion Organization (TPO), the increased capacity for collaboration between the two nations as a result of supply chain cooperation and joint manufacturing is large and may grow through major regional alliances.

The goal of the governments of the two countries to further economic cooperation is regarded as a significant development, and the private sectors of the two nations should seize this chance, according to Majid-Reza Hariri, the head of the Iran-China Joint Chamber of Commerce.
