Four Aid Flights, 2 Convoys Arrive In Quake-Hit Syria


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) AMMAN, Feb 11 (KUNA) -- Four planes and two convoys, carrying disaster relief, have arrived in Syria on Saturday en route to the quake-struck people in northern part of the country.
The planeloads were contributed by the UAE, Libya, Italy and Kazakhstan, while Iraq sent a 22-vehicle convoy and Jordan donated 10 ambulances and medical supplies worth USD three million.
Another flight, carrying Director General of the World Health Organization Tedros Ghebreyesus and 37 tons of medical assistance. has arrived in Syria, according to SANA news agency. (end)
