Minister Visits Wild Animal Breeding Center In Al Sheehaniya

Doha: H E Sheikh Dr Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Thani, Minister of Environment and Climate Change (MOECC), along with other senior officials from the Ministry, paid an inspection visit to the Wild Animal Breeding Center under captivity in Al Sheehaniya area.

According to MOECC's official Twitter account, 'during the visit, the Minister was briefed on the proposal to breed some endangered wild animals under captivity, in the center, with the aim of developing programs to protect and multiply rare and endangered wild species under captivity.'

The Minister, Dr Al Thani praised the important role of the center and the achievements it has achieved in the field of wild animal breeding development and directed the development of work mechanisms in the center in line with the requirements and needs of the market.

His Excellency also called for using the centre's capabilities for raising awareness of wild animals protection and shed light on the protection efforts to visitors as well as providing researchers and students with the opportunity to learn and practice.
