626 More Test Covid-19 Positive As Cases Spike In J&K

Srinagar- The daily Coronavirus cases witnessed another spike in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, as 626 more people tested positive for Covid-19 while no fresh fatality was reported from the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.

According to the officials, Kashmir Valley detected 512 fresh cases of novel Coronavirus while 114 others were registered from various districts of Jammu division, taking the total number of people infected since the onset of pandemic in J&K to 470827.

In the Valley, they said, Srinagar reported the highest 167 new cases of virus followed by Baramulla with 105, Budgam 81, Kupwara 64, Ganderbal 24, Anantnag 22, Kulgam 19, Pulwama 15, Bandipora 14 and Shopian 1.

Similarly, the officials said that Jammu detected a maximum of 72 new cases of virus, Ramban and Kishtwar 9 each, Doda 8, Udhampur 5, Poonch and Kathua 3 each, Rajouri and Samba 2 each and Reasi 1.

Also, the officials said that the death toll due to the pandemic remained unchanged at 4776 in J&K—2346 in Jammu division and 2430 in the Valley, as no fresh fatality was reported on Tuesday..

“Moreover, 525 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 122 fromJammu division and 403 from Kashmir division,” they added.
