Qatar Crowned West Asian U-15 Table Tennis Team Champions

Amman: The Qatar national U-15 team won the team title at the West Asian Table Tennis Championships defeating Bahrain 3-0 in the final in Amman, yesterday.

Qatar's team comprised of Sultan Khaled Al Kuwari, Abbad Nasser Al Abdullah, Ruwad Nasser and Ahmed Eid Qarni.

Khaled Ali Al Kuwari, director of the Qatari national teams, expressed his happiness at the youth team's victory, stressing that the team deserved to be crowned as it won all but one of their matches.

Al Kuwari dedicated the title to the Qatari table tennis family and fans and thanked all those who contributed to the success, the Qatar Olympic Committee and Qatar Table Tennis Federation headed by Khalil Al Mohannadi, and the Aspire Academy.

For his part, Mohammed Ahmed Al Rumaihi, head of the Qatari team delegation at the tournament, praised the youth team's performance.

He pointed out that winning the championship was a result of continuous preparations and the support of the federation, wishing that Team Qatar would continue to perform well in the singles and doubles competitions in the tournament which continues till August 5 in the Jordanian capital.
