Uzbekistan discloses amount of construction work done in 2M2022

Trend:
The volume of construction work carried out in Uzbekistan from
January through February 2022 amounted to 12.8 trillion soums ($1.1
billion), which is an increase of 20 percent compared to the same
period of the last year (10.6 trillion soums, or $978.5 million),

citing the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
During this period, most of the construction work was carried
out in the country's Tashkent city in the amount of 3.8 trillion
soums ($354 million), followed by the Tashkent region with amount
of construction work of 1.1 trillion soums ($108.7 million).
In 2021, construction work worth 107.4 trillion soums ($9.9
billion) was carried out in Uzbekistan. At the same time, the
volume of construction work carried out in 2020 amounted to 88.1
trillion soums ($8.1 billion).
