Uzbekistan discloses amount of construction work done in 2M2022

The volume of construction work carried out in Uzbekistan from January through February 2022 amounted to 12.8 trillion soums ($1.1 billion), which is an increase of 20 percent compared to the same period of the last year (10.6 trillion soums, or $978.5 million), Trend reports citing the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.

During this period, most of the construction work was carried out in the country's Tashkent city in the amount of 3.8 trillion soums ($354 million), followed by the Tashkent region with amount of construction work of 1.1 trillion soums ($108.7 million).

In 2021, construction work worth 107.4 trillion soums ($9.9 billion) was carried out in Uzbekistan. At the same time, the volume of construction work carried out in 2020 amounted to 88.1 trillion soums ($8.1 billion).
