Kuwait approves COVID-19 booster shots for three vulnerable groups


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Sept 25 (KUNA) -- Kuwait will be rolling out booster shots of COVID-19 vaccines to three groups of the population as part of efforts aiming to provide maximum protection to more vulnerable people.
People aged over 60, healthcare workers and those with weakened immune systems will be the recipients of a third dose of a COVID vaccine at least six months after they had their second shot, said a health ministry statement, citing relevant data.
Those eligible for the booster will get their appointment details via text messages, the statement highlighted, adding that COVID booster shots will be made available to other groups shortly. (end)
