Transport minister, Syrian delegation talk smoother border movement


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, June 30 (Petra)- Minister of Transport, Wajih Azaiza, said Jordan views all sectors in an "integrated" manner, focusing on the importance of transport in developing and advancing the economy.
The minister made the remarks at a meeting Wednesday with Syrian delegation, headed by head of the Federation of the Syrian Chambers of Commerce (FSCC), Mohamed Abou El-Hoda El-Lahham.
Azayza listened to demands raised during the discussions, stressing the need for joint cooperation to serve common interests.
For his part, Chairman of Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JCC), Nael Kabariti, said the trade sector is looking forward to facilitating the transport movement, and to facilitate procedures at the border crossings.
At the meeting, the Syrian delegation raised a number of demands, most notably facilitating procedures at border crossings.
