(MENAFN) The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs stated that the wholesale prices of agricultural produce in China declined in the past week.
The China agricultural product wholesale price indicator stood at 118.18, a decrease by 0.87 points weekly from May 7 to May 14.
On the basis of week-on-week, the average wholesale price of pork, a principle meat in the country, decreased 5.2 percent to 28.86 yuan (around USD4.5) per kg, and that of mutton declined 0.3 percent to around USD11.94 per kg.
The average wholesale prices of 19 major kinds of vegetables monitored by the administration climbed 0.8 percent from the prior week.
