Zambia customer body voices worry over unreliable stock of oil

(MENAFN) Zambia's customer body on Wednesday, November 4, voiced worry over the unpredictable supply of oil in the country, stating that the situation could produce an upsurge in the prices of necessary commodities if not manage.

The Zambia Consumer Association (ZACA) has since advised the government to guarantee normal oil supply in the country.

Juba Sakala, the association's managerial secretary stated in an interview "The shortage of fuel is a concern to consumers, as we all know fuel is the driving engine of the economy. We are worried because if the shortage continues the price of basic essential commodities will rise".

The association, he added, supposes the situation to regularize this week as promised by the energy minister last week, adding that oil marketing firms should speed up the sharing of the commodity.
