(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) VIENNA, July 10 (KUNA) -- Austria on Friday reported 94 new coronavirus infections, upping the tally of those to have contracted the infectious disease to 18,614, its health ministry said.
The bulk of infections were registered in the country's northern region, said a ministry statement, adding that the number of coronavirus deaths stands at 706, while some 16,808 people have recovered from the virus.
Authorities are requiring people in the country's northern region to wear face masks in public after a spike in coronavirus infections there, a month after lifting tough movement restrictions nationwide. (end)
