Jordan- Cabinet okays JD2 million for traders hit by winter floods

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Aug. 20 (Petra) - The Cabinet Tuesday approved a decision by the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) to donate JD2 million as a compensation for traders whose Downtown Amman stores were flooded as a result of heavy downpours in late February.
The amount, approved by the Council of Ministers at a session chaired by Prime Minister Omar Razzaz, will be disbursed based on a memorandum of understanding by GAM and the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) that outlines the disbursement mechanism and verifies the documents that merit compensation.
