Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI), part of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), has kicked off its Creative Space Summer Camp.

The intensive three-week programme, which runs until August 1, sees schoolstudents aged nine years and above engage in various activities geared towards developing their skills in coding, electronics, and computational thinking.

Participants learned how to programme electronics using microcontrollers designed specifically to teach programming through physical computing, learn how to control robots using Python programming language and learned the principles of 3D design and printing. In addition, students will discover how engineering and programming work together to create new and exciting inventions.

Creative Space is an ongoing QCRI initiative that aims to instil in young people a curiosity and passion for computing and technological innovation.
