H1N1 virus claims 13 lives in Myanmar within last 4 days

13 more deaths has been caused by A(H1N1) pdm 09 influenza in Myanmar in the previous four days, as stated by the public health department under the ministry of health and sports on Wednesday. As reported by Xinhuanet.

Yangon district has registered the highest rate of H1N1 seasonal influenza with 43 deaths dating from January 1 to July 16 this year. The total death count has risen to 56 as of Tuesday.

During the period the influenza virus has infected 243 people across the country, around 49 percent of them are aged between 15 and 65 years old, as shown by the department's figures.

The influenza virus was detected in July, 2017, taking 38 lives and infecting 408 people across Myanmar
