(MENAFN) A teenage bride has been handed an execution sentence for murdering her husband, who raped her as male relatives held her down.
Noura Hussein, aged 16, declared that her father forced her into marring the man, who was her cousin, when she was only 16, however she declined and travelled with her relative for three years.
She got back to her family's house on the outskirts of the Sudanese capital Khartoum this year, after her father lied to her about calling off the marriage.
However, she discovered that she had been tricked as preparations for her wedding ceremony were ongoing.
After the first raping incident, he tried to rape her again the next day as she fought him back to stop him, she ended up stabbing him to death.
