Rainstorm in India: death toll extents to 80


(MENAFN) Official sources declared that the number of fatalities in the deadly storm which struck India's northern states of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, has risen to nearly 80, as about another 143 people were wounded.

The highest death toll informed about was from Uttar Pradesh's Agra city, where around 36 people have been killed in the disaster.

Another nine people have died in other sections of Uttar Pradesh, including in Bijnaur, Saharanpur and Bareilly.

The Rajasthan government has announced the death of 35 victims in the state, particularly in Bharatpur, Alwar and Dhaulpur, Jhunjhunu districts.
