(MENAFN) On Wednesday, three Yemeni soldiers were murdered in a bomb blast hitting troops supported by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the southern Abyan province, according to a domestic security source.
The attack targeted a military car of the UAE-backed forces as it was passing in the provincial capital Zanzibar, emphasized the source, who preferred to be unidentified.
He added that many other soldiers were reportedly wounded in the explosion.
According to the source, the UAE-backed troops attacked a number of houses after the attack, triggering clashes with inhabitants amid reports of wounds.
