Israel inaugurate new airport in south of country

(MENAFN) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israel is much more nearby for international flights, at a launching ceremony of the country's second international airport on Monday.

The new Ramon Airport is situated in the south of Israel, near the Red Sea coastal city of Eilat. It is one of the leading destinations for tourists coming to Israel.

Until now Israel had only one international airport, Ben Gurion, situated at the center of Israel, close to the city of Tel Aviv. The new airport will be much more suitable for the tourists and inhabitants of southern Israel.

The Israeli government believes that the new southern airport will inspire many tourists, from around the world to select Eilat as their preferred resort.
