DOHA:Afif Charity has provided a financial support for the consultancy program presented by Mental Health Friends Association (Weyak) through mobile and its different accounts on social media platforms.
Mohammed Albinali, Executive Director, Weyak thanked the Afif Charitable for its humanitarian contributions in supporting community and humanitarian programs and activities.
Albinali called on various national institutions and entities to support Weyak psychological, educational and family programs.
He added that since its establishment, the association has been able to provide thousands of psychological, educational, behavioural and family consultancy by telephone and the website of the association and the application of various means to receive these consultations and help them to solve their problems.
The consultancy program allows all members of the community to ask questions about mental health, behavioral, educational and family health issues, so that specialists and psychologists can deal with them in full confidentiality in terms of not mentioning their personnel information or their nationalities.
Since it was launch, Weyak has been able to gain the confidence of people due to its complete confidentiality and the scientific and professional answers provided to them through various means of guidance.
More than 249,220 people have benefited from the services provided by Mental Health Friends Association (WEYAK) from 2014 till now.
The services include psychological counseling, lectures, training workshops and training programs. The number of training workshops for specialists, individuals and institutions has reached more than 8,000.
