(MENAFN) Cambodia was declared to have begun its 2nd National Games at the Olympic Stadium on Friday, presenting various performances, such as martial arts and acrobatics.
The opening ceremony started with King Norodom Sihamoni lighting the ceremonial Games torch at the Royal Palace, presenting the flame to Cambodian iconic athletes.
Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen stated "I would like to declare the second national games officially open now."
The Games, to wrap up June 4th, are to be joined with around 4,163 athletes, coaches and referees, as noted Minister of Education, Youth and Sports Hang Chuon Naron.
