Monspace Multinational Corp announced today in a meet and greet session that its MS Symphony Exercise Clinic has launched an apprenticeship programme, offering three years of exercise therapy training to youths in an effort to develop local talent in the field. Deputy Minister of Health YB Dato' Seri Dr. Hilmi Haji Yahaya was also present at the session as representative from the Ministry of Health.

The MS New Symphony Exercise Clinic was founded by Monspace to promote a healthy lifestyle and exercising habits among Malaysians. It aims to provide professional medical diagnosis and exercise advise to help mitigate the four most fatal diseases in Malaysia: high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes and high cholesterol.

Said apprenticeship programme is meant to train and develop future health professionals for the clinic, addressing public health issues linked to Malaysian's sedentary lifestyles.

Open to youths aged 18-24 who have yet to attain tertiary education or working experience, the programme will provide participants with three years of training leading up to a Diploma in Exercise Medicine. The offer also includes RM500 monthly allowance throughout the three years, and a free laptop.

Upon completion, graduates of the programme will receive permanent placements as exercise therapists in MS New Symphony Exercise Clinics in different areas of Malaysia and around Asia. They will work under the guidance of Dr. Lee Chee Pheng, director of the clinic.

All exercise therapists will be granted a starting pay of RM1600 per month, accommodation, meal allowance, and 3-10 months worth of annual bonus.

Interviews will be held to select final candidates from the pool of applicants, and 2016 SPM graduates are encouraged to apply. All applicants need to have passed Bahasa Malaysia and Sejarah in their SPM, on top of receiving 3 credits including Science.
